DevOps Lab Coordinator
Job Summary:
As a DevOps Lab Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in our organization's software development and deployment processes. You will be responsible for managing our DevOps lab environment, conducting software testing, and ensuring the continuous integration and deployment pipelines are optimized for efficiency. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining a smooth and reliable software delivery process. This is a 6 month contract to direct hire and requires a Secret clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lab Management: Setup, configure, and maintain the DevOps lab environment.
Ensure availability of necessary hardware, software, and networking resources for testing and development purposes.
Manage and monitor virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, Docker) for creating and managing lab environments.
Software Testing: Collaborate with development teams to define test plans, test cases, and test data.
Execute manual and automated tests to validate the functionality, performance, and security of software applications.
Identify and report defects, track their resolution, and verify fixes.
Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployment.
Monitor and improve CI/CD processes for efficiency, reliability, and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD pipeline issues.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for lab configurations, test plans, and testing procedures.
Document and communicate test results, including pass/fail criteria and regression testing.
Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless software delivery.
Provide support during software releases and deployments, including off-hours as needed.
Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices in the lab environment and testing processes.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations relevant to software development and deployment.
