This position is looking for a candidate who is able to come on full-time for a direct hire position. This position requires fully vaccinated candidates and will convert to a hybrid work schedule after 2-3 months.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing timesheets for accuracy, coordinating corrections as needed
- Processing weekly payroll in compliance with all Federal, State and County rules and regulations, including prevailing wage guidelines
- Submitting tax deposits as required
- Completing all payroll related tax returns, including W-2s, 941, workers compensation reports and all other quarterly reporting in a timely manner
- Updating employee information for taxes, benefits, wage changes, garnishments, direct deposit information and other miscellaneous wage deductions in the payroll software and other platforms
- Maintaining employee benefit changes on carrier portals for new and current employees, as well as submitting termination updates
- Reconciling transactions, reviewing payroll records, maintaining employee personnel files
- Tracking leave requests, sending COBRA information
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Accounting, Business or related field
- A minimum of three years of payroll experience
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
