Growing defense contractor looking to bring on a Chief Financial Officer to their team. Work would be on-site in Bethesda Maryland. 
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all financial analysis, planning & reporting for the company.
  • Provides leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team.
  • Understand and plan tax strategies for the company.
  • Direct strategic and tactical business planning, analysis, forecasting and budget management.
  • Advises the CEO on long-term business and financial planning.
  • Manage and optimize company budgets and status reports.
  • Prepare all pricing proposals.
  • Develop and maintain pricing models for all Intellectual Property off-the-shelf items.
  • Prepare annual overhead and general and administrative allocation rates.
  • Maintain procedures to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
  • Oversees all accounting systems and general ledger accounts and ensure accurate recording and presentation of balance sheet and profit and loss information.
  • Oversee and backup the payroll process. Reconcile and ensure proper classification for job costing.
  • Oversee all inventories and protection of company assets.
  • Develop strategic acquisition financial evaluations and assist with negotiations.
  • Work with legal counsel and other strategic advisors.
  • Oversee all regulatory and insurance reporting requirements as well as any premium audits and facilitate annual insurance renewal.
  • Compile and reconcile year-end 401k census data and ensure compliance with 401k regulations.
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange transactions and reporting preferred
  • Oversee all regulatory and insurance premium audits. Facilitate annual insurance renewal.
  • Other duties as assigned by CEO.

 

Ideally, the CFO will have experience with:

  • Work experience with Microsoft NAV
  • US Government Contracting including Pricing, FAR, DFAR, and DCAA requirements.
  • Manufacturing
  • Managing and tracking budget expenses
  • Large financial models
  • High-growth companies
  • Startup companies
  • International companies
  • Prior senior accountant experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation, prior CPA firm experience preferred
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange transactions and reporting preferred
