Controls Engineer
Position Overview:
As a Controls Engineer - PLC & AutoCAD Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and supporting advanced automation systems for our clients. You will be responsible for PLC programming, control system design, and using AutoCAD to create detailed schematics. Additionally, you will travel to client sites to install, troubleshoot, and optimize automation systems, ensuring smooth operation and customer satisfaction.
Compensation: $80k-$110k, travel to client sites is required
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, develop, and implement automation solutions tailored to meet client requirements.
Utilize your strong PLC programming skills to create and modify control logic, HMI interfaces, and data acquisition systems.
Develop and interpret electrical and control schematics using AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
Program, configure, and integrate various PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) to control industrial processes and machinery.
Work closely with clients to gather technical specifications, understand project goals, and provide expert advice on automation strategies.
Travel to client sites approximately 50% of the time to install, commission, and provide on-site support for automation systems.
Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure proper functionality, safety compliance, and performance.
Provide technical training and support to client personnel, empowering them to operate and maintain automation systems effectively.
Generate comprehensive documentation, including technical drawings, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automation, controls, and PLC programming.
Maintain a customer-centric approach, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service and solutions.
