Design Engineer (Must Have AV Experience)
Job Summary:
As a Design Engineer specializing in CAD for AV projects, you will be responsible for creating detailed design drawings, schematics, and documentation for our audiovisual installations. You will collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and technical teams to transform concepts into tangible and functional AV solutions. Your technical expertise and CAD proficiency will be crucial in delivering successful AV projects.
Key Responsibilities:
CAD Design: Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create accurate and detailed drawings, schematics, and layouts for AV projects, including system diagrams, equipment rack designs, and cable routing plans.
Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, AV technicians, and clients to understand project requirements and objectives. Collaborate in the development of design concepts and provide technical expertise.
System Integration: Design AV systems that seamlessly integrate audio, video, control systems, and other technologies to meet client needs.
Equipment Selection: Assist in the selection of AV equipment, components, and materials to ensure they align with project specifications and budget constraints.
Quality Assurance: Review design drawings and documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and adherence to project timelines.
Documentation: Create comprehensive design documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
Technical Support: Provide technical support to project teams during the installation and commissioning phases, addressing design-related issues as they arise.
Innovation: Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into AV designs.
