Accountant (CPA - On-Site)
Our focus is less on the department and more on the value we bring to our clients. We anticipate that the Senior Accountant will primarily work with the Tax and Business Strategy (TABS) team but will also support other service areas.
This is a highly collaborative role and the right fit for this position will be someone that understands how their piece of the puzzle affects the whole puzzle. The Senior Accountant we seek is experienced, curious, an excellent listener, is equally willing to give and accept feedback, and cares about their clients and their team.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Certified Public Accountant preferred or ability to obtain licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or other similar field
- Two or more years’ recent experience in public accounting tax environment
- The willingness and ability to work additional hours, particularly during tax season (January – April), and our Fall busy season (August – October)
- Experience working on multiple client engagements simultaneously
- Strong general ledger accountant

Core Job Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant with the Tax team you will spend your time serving a diverse set of clients including individuals, trusts and estates, for-profit and non-profit businesses, and governments across a variety of industries. Your time will be focused on preparing tax returns, performing general ledger analysis and reconciliations, and advising clients on tax and business matters. Your essential job duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Identifying and understanding the “big picture” for client business objectives
- Driving client satisfaction by providing appropriate solutions to resolve client issues
- Building new and maintaining existing client relationships to ensure sustainable business growth of the firm
- Identifying cross-selling opportunities and converting them into closed sales
- Prioritizing multiple engagements while maintaining positive communications with clients and team members about status
- Working within engagement budgets to deliver results to clients
- Identifying out-of-scope work and communicating with supervisors and clients about additional fees
