Systems Architect

Growing government Contractor looking for Systems Architect in Greenbelt, MD.


Assembling and reviewing Project & Systems Assessment
Conducting System Overview with Census Bureau System POCs
Conducting Assessments and developing the findings
Manage project requirements and management processes
Developing and maintaining systems architectures, engineering plans, and documentation
Provide engineering guidance and expertise
Support 2020 System, Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) team technical reviews
Apply expertise in developing solutions to deploy applications, services in a cloud environment.
Architecture, implementation, and scalability of cloud applications and services.
Design, develop, integrate, and test software solutions in a cloud environment.
Work with multi-discipline teams to evaluate interfaces and operational performance requirements of the overall system.
Provide regular briefings to internal executives and the customer on infrastructure design progress

Required Skills:

12-15 years of experience in Enterprise Systems Integration
5-10 years Enterprise Architecture planning and implementation
5 years of experience in Enterprise Configuration and Change Management
2 years of experience in utilization and management of ITIL Based Service Delivery and Lifecycle framework
5 years of experience with software development and demonstrated technical credentials with deploying services and applications to a cloud, including open source technology, systems engineering, scripting languages and multiple cloud provider environments.
5 Years of experience working with data center solutions
Understanding of 3-tier Web Applications
Extensive knowledge across multiple application architectures such as J2EE,.NET, etc.
Understanding of Database technologies
Tools/Technology Experience: Broad knowledge of cloud management and deployment tools, including commercial and open source
Organizational Skills: Demonstrated experience planning and prioritizing work, both their own and that of project teams. Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail.
Team Work: Able to enthuse and maintain team interest. Comfortable working both individually and as part of a team. Prepared to challenge ideas within a group in a constructive way. Ability to influence others and move a team toward a common vision or goal.
