Help Desk / Desktop Support Specialist

IT Help Desk Technician


Responsible for providing technical support for our corporate users both at Headquarters and remotely via GotoAssist. The nature of support would include troubleshooting hardware such as computers, printers, faxes, copiers, mobile devices and software used on the aforementioned hardware. We support Windows 7 Pro as the OS for desktops and laptops. Candidate should have both technical and customer service skills, be passionate about technology, and enjoy helping people.

Basic Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance and support for incoming issues related to computer systems, software and hardware.
Follow up with users to ensure issue has been resolved.
Use our ticketing system to track and resolve problems.
Install, modify and repair computer hardware or software.
Computer cleanup.
Support audio and video equipment in conference rooms e.g. understand projector operation used in conjunction with desktops and support video conferencing.
Manage and monitor internal computer and software assets and licensing to ensure accurate inventory records using software systems we stand of up for such purpose.

Required Experience

Windows 7 Pro
Understand basic networking e.g. LAN IP configuration on computers and support when users must switch between wireless and LAN connectivity.
Google Apps
PC hardware, printers, scanners, mobile devices (iOS, Android)
Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records.
