Full Stack Developer

Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Full Stack Engineer responsible for building and maintaining a custom built e-commerce platform. This includes everything in between debugging a frontend ES6 code on IE, adding monitoring to backend micro service framework, to query tuning MySQL slow log and everything in between.  Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure, and share in DevOp responsibilities. Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality is essential. This position is based in San Francisco.


Major Job Responsibilities and Related Duties:

Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable platform
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
Help maintain code quality, organization, and cleanliness
Communicate and work with a team to deliver a common goal


Minimum of 5 years of experience with large scale Java application
Minimum of 5 years of experience with complex HTML/CSS/Javascript frontend
Minimum of 5 years of experience with MySQL/Postgress/NoSQL
Minimum of 3 years of experience with DevOp/Linux/TCP/IP/Cloud operations
Play framework,, Consul, JDK 8, MySQL, Redis, Amazon AWS, Docker, micro services – You find many of these words exciting!
A plus if you’ve contributed to an open source project
Knack for writing clean, readable and maintainable code
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application. Both in and out process.
You feel ownership of what you build. We are 100% DevOp.
Knowledge of current trends and best practices including performance, scalability and usability. 
Work in Scrum/Agile process
Relevant E-Commerce experience a plus
