Senior Program Manager

Excellent stakeholder cultivation and management
Planning, guidance and execution of communications and outreach campaigns
Provide guidance for creative services (graphics and video development), social media, web content management and web enhancements
Development and execution of web communications program strategy in coordination with key stakeholders
Familiarity and working knowledge of communications channels, their goals, audiences and limitations
Management of staff, including annual reviews, prioritization of responsibilities, ad hoc coaching and regular check ins
Provide direction and support to project team on initiatives and deliverables
Reinforce a culture of customer engagement and collaboration on solutions for mission-critical problems
Support the communication needs of client managers and executives, as necessary
Be flexible and quick to learn
Develop business requirements, project scope, goals and deliverables Define and prioritize project tasks and resource requirements
Develop full scale project plans when necessary
Host and run stand up calls (if requested by the government) and team meetings
Resource planning: assemble and coordinate project staff among the other PMs
Plan, monitor and schedule project timelines
Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
Constantly highlight client achievements and team collaboration
Guide the gathering, collation and presentation of monthly artifacts and metrics
Develop brag books and outcomes reports on important initiatives
Develop metrics reports to show project highlights, corrective actions or improvements achieved
Monitor and report on progress of the project regularly
Present dashboard reports defining project progress, issues and resolutions Implement and manage project changes to achieve project outputs
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
Demonstrated work experience as a project manager
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills

Technical Skills

Proficiency using the Microsoft suite such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other management software to create dashboards and staffing analysis
Editing skills: proficiency with GPO and AP style, and have excellent grammar
Writing Skills: assist in communications planning, financial reporting and in writing objectives and work statements as well as assisting in preparation of technical proposals to support performance requirements when needed
Proficiency using Agile methodology-oriented tools such as JIRA

Familiarity and some proficiency of the following areas is a must:

Enterprise Change Management/Cultural Change
Center of Excellence concepts
Governance/Governance Process Improvement
Program Management

Minimum Education/Experience

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or related field, possible substitutions: (5 years of relevant experience over and above the experience requirements)

Experience: 10 years of relevant experience

Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP)
