Sr. Business Analyst



A Senior Business Analyst who can work effectively, both independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment. The candidate must be a delivery-focused person with significant experience in defining business requirements and managing those requirements through the entire system development lifecycle.  The candidate will report to the Manager of Quality Assurance and will assist with day-to-day support and interaction with our clients business units. 

Position Responsibilities Include:

Lead functional definition and specification of the requirements for all business functions within our client’s to ensure usability, reliability, and integration of software projects. Assist business lines in defining requirements of software and workflow to support systems. 
Assumes responsibility for design, testing, and support of the business applications.
Support product development by enabling creative use of existing technology platform and by encouraging new technologies as appropriate.
Facilitate information exchange among departments that contributes to the definition of technical solutions.
Assures knowledge transfer to application support team, Help Desk, and customers through training, and documentation.
Promote the growth of business understanding of IT team members through presentations and mentoring.
Assist with testing of new system implementations
Drive all projects from beginning to end
Adhere to company policies, including attendance and punctuality
Adhere to confidentiality (HIPAA) requirements
Other duties may be assigned




Bachelor's degree or a demonstrated equivalence in work experience
A minimum of 7 years of experience in developing business requirements and associated material
Knowledge of Microsoft development platform and SharePoint collaboration suite
Strong prototyping skills and experience with integration with MS-Office Tools
Excellent communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies
Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies
Strong out-going personality




Language:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Mathematical:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 


Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
