Position: Authorization & Accreditation Analysts
Location: Washington, DC
Highly motivated and qualified individual wanted to provide mid-level Information Security resources.
Candidate will perform independent risk analysis; develop various plans, systems and agreements; perform security testing and evaluation; register and update all IT inventory items; track and update all Plan of Actions and Milestones as well as other A&A documents as needed.
Job Responsibilities and/or Success Factors:
Develop, create and submit Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages for systems that are in the development stage and considered Major Applications for Authorization.
Perform risk analysis per NISA Special Publication 800-53 Revision 4. This analysis is done by applying security controls while accessing major applications.
Conduct remediation activities for findings from IA in order to achieve the full three years of an ATO.
Schedule and conduct Contingency Plan Tests (CPT) and maintain network systems contingency plans and performance measurements.
Communicate closely with employees and contractors on a daily basis.
Self-motivated and able to manage priorities among multiple demanding tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
Work professionally and collaboratively with the government customer and other members of the project team.
Required skills and experience include:
7+ years Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) experience
IT security background
ISC2 Certification & Authorization Professional certification (CAP) or equivalent
Preferred skills and experience include:
Experience working on-site in a government facility
Clearance requirements: This position requires a security clearance; candidate must be a US Citizen.
