Edits and publishes Congressional-mandated reports and associated written materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Duties and responsibilities that occupy a major portion of time and importance in the job.
a. Edits, formats, and proofreads technical reports for publication to Congress and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
b. Publishes reports using desktop publishing software, including Adobe Acrobat.
c. Reviews, edits, and proofreads materials written by others.
d. Adheres to report production and publication schedules and deadlines.
e. Performs administrative and courier duties as assigned.
a. Supervisory Responsibility – None
b. Supervision Received – Reports to Senior/Lead Project Manager; majority of assignments are performed under minimal supervision in accordance with guidance based on internal procedures and conventionally accepted technical writing standards.
- Education/Experience – Bachelor’s degree in Communications/English, and experience as a writer and/or editor required. Relevant and equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
- Skills/Certifications/Training – Must have strong skills in written communication. The candidate will be highly motivated and work well both independently and in a team environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Word a must; desktop publishing software a plus.
- Level of Security Clearance – Secret [minimum]

a. Internal Interaction - Interfaces with all levels of client staff (including GS-15s, O-6 slots, Senior Executive Service, and personnel from other contracts).
