This position will be a part of the Managed Services organization, focused on the technical work of deployment and configuration of monitoring tools at the server and service infrastructure level. The ideal candidate will provide this function across all lines of business in our hosted and managed environments. Must have the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, a friendly and helpful attitude, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced high tech environment. This candidate will partner with peers across the Managed Services team to ensure successful planning, design and deployment of projects. They need to understand the big picture and can clearly articulate how the role helps the Managed Services organization and its customers achieve their goals.
The successful candidate will be supporting a high performing and collaborative set of customer groups and be a key contributor to the monitoring improvement project. Because we are a small team, the ability to communicate technical ideas effectively, in oral and written forms, and solve complex problems in a team environment will also be considered.

Demonstrated ability to configure and manage multi-OS environments (RedHat, CentOS, MS Server 2008/2012)
Superior knowledge of monitoring tools (Nagios, New Relic)
Experience configuring and managing large Nagios implementations across a mixed OS infrastructure
Experience working with Architecture resources to assist in planning and documentation
Bachelor’s Degree in CS, CIS, MIS or equivalent secondary education preferred.
At least 5 yrs experience working as a system administrator in a production operations capacity with an emphasis on VMWare
Experience with the monitoring and management of Nagios on relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle)
Demonstrated knowledge of Nagios Dashboard configuration
Ability to automate tasks using Shell, Power Shell, Perl or other programming/scripting languages
