Outside Sales Representative

Job Description

XXXXXX has an immediate opening for an experienced Outside Sales Engineer targeting a diverse base of engineering, contractor and industrial customers in the Washington, DC (including MD and VA suburbs), Front Royal and Winchester areas.  As an Outside Sales Engineer you will be selling a diverse product offering to and creating unique solutions for an established customer base in varied industrial oriented markets.

Principle Responsibilities:

Build and manage relationships within an extensive existing customer base
Identify, qualify and pursuing new customers in the territory
Engineer and present creative solutions to a variety of customer challenges using our extensive product portfolio and manufacturer support
Visit customers and their facilities on a routine basis

Job Requirements

Natural desire and ability to communicate with and relate to others – both written and oral.
Self-starter with good organizational skills and strong follow through
Problem solver with technical interests and acumen
Ability to be on the road as needed to service customer needs in the territory
Natural curiosity and desire to continually improve professionally
Proven success at selling mechanical systems in the territory.
