Growing Government contractor looking to bring on a DevOps Engineer to their team. Position is based in Bethesda and is on-site. 

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge defense technology solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and system administrators, to ensure the efficient and seamless integration of our intelligent systems.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines for our defense technology solutions.

Collaborate with software engineers to implement automated deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications.

Drive continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices to ensure efficient and reliable software releases.

Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.

Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment-related issues in a timely manner.

Conduct performance testing and optimize system components.

Stay up to date with emerging DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a strong focus on infrastructure and deployment automation.

Strong proven experience with cloud computing technologies, preferably Azure and AWS.

Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience developing pipelines in Jenkins or similar modern CI/CD systems.

Proficiency in version control platforms like Git and GitLab.

Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, and PowerShell.

Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or SaltStack.

Proficiency with Linux, Windows, networking, and virtualization systems.

Advantage: Experience in provisioning with Terraform, Packer, or Vagrant.

Advantage: Proficiency with monitoring tools, preferably Prometheus & Grafana, troubleshooting, and analytics.

Solid understanding of networking technologies and concepts.
