Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The Commercial Construction Estimator will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction phase, responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with commercial construction projects. This role demands a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and market trends, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Evaluation: Review project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand project requirements.

• Conduct site visits and gather information to assess project scope and conditions.

• Identify potential risks, challenges, and value engineering opportunities.

• Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

• Utilize construction estimating software and databases to streamline the estimating process.

• Create detailed take-offs and quantity surveys.

• Vendor and Subcontractor Relations: Solicit quotes and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best pricing.

• Maintain relationships with a network of reliable vendors and subcontractors.

• Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, ensuring they are compliant with project requirements and deadlines.

• Collaborate with the bid team and project managers to ensure accurate and complete bids.

• Cost Analysis: Analyze cost data to identify trends and potential cost-saving measures.

• Prepare cost breakdowns and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
