We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with manual machining experience and a background in the Aerospace or Defense sector. As a CNC Machinist in our team, you will play a crucial role in producing precision components for critical applications. Your expertise in CNC programming, machining operations, and familiarity with the unique requirements of the Aerospace and Defense industries will contribute to the success of our projects. 9 hour shifts, off every other Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CNC Machining: Set up, operate, and program CNC machines to produce high-precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Ensure that machining processes are optimized for quality and efficiency.

  • Manual Machining: Utilize manual machining techniques, including milling, turning, and grinding, to create parts with precision tolerances when necessary. Apply your expertise to achieve the desired results.

  • Technical Expertise: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to plan machining sequences and select appropriate tools and materials. Troubleshoot and adjust machining processes to achieve optimal outcomes.

  • Material Selection: Choose suitable materials based on component requirements and characteristics. Ensure proper material handling, tool selection, and cutting parameters to achieve desired results.

  • Quality Assurance: Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Adhere to strict quality control standards to ensure components meet specifications.

  • Safety and Compliance: Operate machines in accordance with safety guidelines and regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adhere to industry-specific standards, especially those related to Aerospace and Defense.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machining operations, adjustments, and quality control measurements. Assist in generating documentation for traceability and compliance purposes.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure that components meet design requirements and project timelines. Provide feedback to improve machining processes and component designs.
