Position Overview:

As a Controls Service Engineer- PLC Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and functionality of our automated machinery systems at customer sites. Your primary responsibility will be to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues related to PLC programming, electrical controls, and automation components. You will collaborate closely with customers, internal teams, and external partners to deliver efficient and effective solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Compensation: $80k-$110k, travel to client sites is required

Responsibilities:

• Travel to customer sites to provide on-site technical support, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and servicing of automated machinery systems.

• Analyze and interpret complex electrical and PLC control system schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

• Identify root causes of machinery malfunctions, implement repairs, and optimize system performance to minimize downtime.

• Utilize your strong PLC programming skills to modify, debug, and enhance code logic as needed.

• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand requirements, provide technical recommendations, and implement solutions.

• Conduct system testing and validation after repairs or modifications to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.

• Document all service activities, including findings, actions taken, and solutions provided, in detailed service reports.

• Train customer personnel on basic troubleshooting procedures and preventive maintenance practices.
