Position Overview:

The Business Development Manager / Sr. Signal Processing Engineer will play a pivotal role in identifying and securing government funding opportunities for our R&D initiatives. This dual-role position requires a deep understanding of signal processing technology and the ability to develop and execute strategic business development plans. The successful candidate will leverage their technical expertise and business acumen to drive our company's growth through successful grant applications and government contracts. Active Secret clearance required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and assess government funding opportunities, including grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements, related to signal processing R&D.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to secure government funding.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with government agencies, potential partners, and collaborators to stay informed about upcoming funding opportunities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business development efforts with R&D capabilities.

  • Proposal Development: Lead the development of high-quality grant proposals and contract applications, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements.

  • Manage the end-to-end proposal process, including technical writing, budget preparation, and proposal submission.

  • Work closely with the technical team to translate complex signal processing concepts into compelling proposal narratives.

  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise in signal processing to enhance proposal content and credibility.

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring the company's R&D portfolio remains competitive.

  • Contribute to the technical aspects of grant applications and project execution.

  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and academic institutions.

  • Represent the company at conferences, workshops, and industry events to expand the network of potential collaborators.

  • Performance Evaluation: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for business development efforts, regularly reporting on progress and results.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of business development strategies.
