This position will be a 6-month contract to hire and is looking for someone who is willing to work onsite. This position requires US citizenship and a candidate that is fully vaccinated.
Duties:
- Responsible for observing all work performed by the supplier(s), as authorized by the client.
- Coordinate resolution of all quality issues, including assurance of supplier adherence to requirements from military specifications and vendor drawings.
- Provide work release authorization (WRA) for timely delivery of all critical components identified by the client.
- Provide reports to client designated points of contact to discuss requirements, resolve problems and keep informed of changes to existing requirements and/or schedules
- Work will be performed under general supervision while exercising considerable latitude for independent actions within the client policies, practices, and procedures.
- Develop training and documentation materials for production to enable the seamless knowledge transfer of manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering) or related field.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings, production documents and specifications.
- Understanding of material specifications, manufacturing techniques, and inspections techniques, used for common manufacturing materials and components.
- Broad technical knowledge with experience in an electronics assembly and ISO9001 or similar environment..
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to travel to multiple client suppliers.
