Job Overview: The AV Installation Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, configuration, and testing of audiovisual systems at various project sites. This role involves managing a team of technicians and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to the client's specifications.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Coordination:

    • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements, timelines, and goals.
    • Plan the AV installation process, including resource allocation, material procurement, and scheduling.
  2. On-Site Supervision:

    • Lead a team of AV installation technicians and provide clear instructions and guidance.
    • Ensure the installation team adheres to safety protocols and industry standards.
  3. Installation and Configuration:

    • Oversee the installation of audiovisual equipment, including displays, speakers, projectors, control systems, and other AV components.
    • Configure AV systems, perform system testing, and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise.
  4. Quality Control:

    • Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure that the AV systems function correctly and meet the client's expectations.
    • Address any deficiencies and ensure that all systems are calibrated to deliver optimal performance.
  5. Client Communication:

    • Maintain effective communication with the project manager and clients, providing regular updates on the installation progress.
    • Address any client concerns or requests during the installation process.
  6. Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, installation procedures, and system configurations.
    • Generate comprehensive reports for project documentation and future reference.
  7. Training and Support:

    • Provide training to end-users on how to operate and maintain the installed AV systems.
    • Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients post-installation.
  8. Budget and Resource Management:

    • Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to the allocated budget.
    • Optimize resource utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in audiovisual technology, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in AV installation and system integration, with a strong understanding of AV components and industry best practices.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of AV control systems, signal flow, and audio/video signal processing.
  • Familiarity with various AV software and programming languages is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle technical challenges.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
