• Compensation: $60,000 - 70,000/year

• Every other Friday off

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design 3D models of our products and test support equipment

• Take conceptual designs, sketches, and ideas from engineers to develop the details necessary for a complete, engineered drawing capable of being used for fabrication, erection in the field, design analysis, etc

• Create draft drawings for manufacturing of parts

• Support engineering staff with integrated engineering simulation tools (thermal, structural, CFD)

• Oversee manufacturing vendors

• Participate in various customer meetings and support programmatic and technical reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.) to provide technical recommendations and risk assessments.

• Support the development of technical risk and develop any required mitigation plans for all key product technical risks.

• Support the capture of engineering lessons learned and ensure processes and design guidance tailored from industry best practices and key program learning.

• Support the configuration management and control of product design BOMs and relevant technical data.

• Actively engage in the development and continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 2+ yeras of CAD design experience

• Associates Degree

• User knowledge of CAD (SolidWorks preferred) functionality

• Understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack up analysis

• Knowledge of creating draft drawings and ASME Y14.5 2018 standards

• Understanding of design for manufacturability and experience optimizing designs for production

• Knowledge of turning concept designs into actual hardware by creating manufacturing drawings, sourcing components, and working with fabricators or technicians.

• Knowledge with electrical wiring harnesses, routing and mounting
