Type: Full-Time, Direct hire, (hybrid schedule)
Position Overview: An Electrical Engineer with a Professional License is a highly skilled professional responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing electrical systems and components. This individual possesses a valid and recognized professional license, which demonstrates their competency and expertise in electrical engineering principles, codes, and regulations. The licensed Electrical Engineer is authorized to take legal responsibility for engineering projects and sign off on plans and specifications.
Design and Development: Create, modify, and optimize electrical systems and components, including power distribution systems, circuitry, control systems, lighting systems, and instrumentation.
Project Planning: Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into overall building or infrastructure plans. Provide input during the initial project planning phase to ensure adherence to electrical codes and standards.
Code Compliance: Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with relevant local, national, and international electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Electrical Drawings and Documentation: Prepare detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation required for project implementation, maintenance, and future reference.
Cost Estimation: Participate in cost estimation and budgeting activities related to electrical components and systems.
Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct tests and inspections on electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and troubleshoot issues as they arise during construction or operation.
Project Management: Manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to procure electrical components and services, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
Sustainability and Energy Efficiency: Integrate energy-efficient solutions and renewable energy technologies to enhance sustainability and reduce environmental impact in electrical designs.
Client Interaction: Interact with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to discuss project requirements, address concerns, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Continuous Professional Development: Stay updated with advancements in electrical engineering technologies, codes, and best practices. Participate in training and professional development programs to maintain the validity of the professional license.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Active and valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in electrical engineering.
- Several years of relevant work experience in electrical engineering.
