POSITION SUMMARY:

Architectural Project Manager is responsible for managing, reviewing, and tracking architectural and permitting plans for various communities. Manager also oversee project coordinator’s tracking schedules and workflow by coaching and reviewing as required. Manager is responsible for master plan management and maintenance which includes construction documentation development and on-going modifications to architectural/structural documents. Manager creates, implements, and monitors all architectural processes, procedures, and best practices for task management as well as support, guide and oversee coordinators

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • • Point of contact for Architecture department processes, procedures and requests including but not limited to: ACF and MPU and Smartsheet
  • • Point of contact for Architecture DocuSign
  • • Point of contact for Architectural consultant set up and administrative procedures
  • • Manage a secondary department email address and send department notification via:
  • • Comply with all best practices from Processes and Procedures department such as professionalism and work etiquette
  • • Conduct weekly meetings with consultants on time and have material prepared before the meeting starts
  • • Expected to work efficiently and effectively in the department following professional behaviors and characteristics that work best for the team and business
  • • Responsible for all projects and tasks assigned to you via the Architecture Project Schedule and expectations to deliver in a compromised time frame
  • • Responsible for daily/weekly tracking of all projects, tasks, schedules, tables and tabs on the Architecture

Project Schedule

  • • Responsible for attendance at team meetings and project updates
  • • Responsible to ensure that all architectural, engineering and in some cases truss and mechanical
  • drawings (the “Construction Documents” or the “CDs”) are prepared by professional consultants who comply with applicable building codes, local, state and federal regulation
  • • Direct professional consultants on Architecture and Permitting processes as it relates to Prototypes, Welcome Center, Design Studio and Construction offices, starting with the start request to complete signed and sealed sets, but not limited to architecture/structural documents, surveys, truss engineering, energy calculations, etc.

REQUIRED JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • • Strong understanding of Architecture and Construction
  • • Strong understanding of operations and management
  • • Understanding of how Architecture projects directly affect other department such as Sales, Marketing and Purchasing
  • • Excellent analytical, creative thinking, leadership, problem-solving, interpersonal, negotiation, organizational, project management and time management skills
  • • Manage multiple priorities in a timely and professional manner with strong attention to detail with limited supervision
  • • Read and interpret engineering reports, construction documents, specifications and building comments
  • • Ability to learn basic operation of software including Builders CMS, customer service software including Build Pro, NewStar for data and information purposes

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Proficiency in Autodesk (Revit, AutoCAD) is a plus and preferred
