As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the overall financial operations of our organization. Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, adjustments, and month-end/year-end closing entries.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct periodic inventory reconciliations and assist with inventory management processes.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Assist with the preparation of tax filings and compliance requirements, working closely with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry practices, ensuring adherence to the latest accounting standards.
- Support process improvement initiatives within the accounting department to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
