Assistant Controller/Accounting Supervisor
Position Overview:
The Assistant Controller/Accounting Supervisor will be a key member of our finance department, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the accounting cycle. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Full Cycle Accounting: Lead and manage the full cycle accounting process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger maintenance, and financial statement preparation.
Supervision: Supervise a team of accountants and clerks, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, cost control, and budgeting to support strategic decision-making.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Audit and Review: Prepare and coordinate financial audits, collaborating with external auditors and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting department.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive financial records, ensuring that all accounting transactions are properly documented and recorded.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, providing financial insights and support for strategic initiatives.
