Director of Account Management

Position Description:  

The Director of Account Management will work with clients of our client to establish, develop and maintain positive account relationships. The ability to initiate contact with existing and potential customers and to identify needs and key value drivers of our client’s capabilities for Client success is the primary focus for Account Management.  Relationship building is critical to the long-term success of our Client base.


As a “Director of Account Management", you will be responsible for meeting with assigned clients as needed and both on a monthly and quarterly basis.   These interactions should focus on identifying customer needs and success drivers.   The ability to clearly articulate our client’s product knowledge and best practices is essential.  The ability to translate custom success into objective, quantifiable ROI success measures is essential is as well.


Position Responsibilities:
 

  • Manage assigned accounts
  • Review account activity level regularly
  • Proactively identify customer needs and success drivers and translate to ROI measures
  • Increase product knowledge and awareness for assigned customers
  • Develop and oversee customer retention campaigns
  • Participate in and improve upon in-house brand promotions
  • Learn and recognize triggers based on customer behavior and engage with customers who request to terminate or downgrade service
  • Work with assigned accounts to understand and facilitate proper contractual administration and invoicing

Required Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline is required
  • 5+ years experience in Account Management related role
  • Advanced problem resolution skills and communication abilities
  • Excellent word processing and spreadsheet skills
  • Ability to anticipate customer’s needs and match them with appropriate products and services
  • Comfort with working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  •  

Preferred Qualifications:
 

  • Experience in healthcare industry account management within the healthcare IT space
  • Ability to work with and engage healthcare providers (physicians, nurses, staff)
  • Preferred experience working with an entrepreneurial healthcare technology startup
  • Ability to work in a collaborative dynamic team environment and interact at all levels
  • Excellent account management skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to work effectively under very broad direction with minimal supervision
  • Ability to motivate team and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Excellent organizational presentation interpersonal and team building skills
  • Excellent time management and planning/strategizing skills
  • Strong leadership and excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill
