The SL-100 / CS2100 Technician is primarily responsible for all systems level preventative and remedial maintenance activities for the customer’s telecommunications infrastructure. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Position typically has 3 – 7 years of experience.
The performance of maintenance requires that Key Personnel be available for emergency monitoring and response. Designated staff shall be assigned in alternating shifts to respond to off-hours calls for emergency service, and may work extended hours or weekends to perform emergency maintenance service.
Ensure that the following tests are performed daily: ALT, ATT, REX, AUTOIMAGE, KILLER TRUNK
Ensure test results are reviewed and actions taken.
Ensure that proper logs are maintained: CPU, PMRELOAD, Repair and Return, Switch, Office Alarm, Dial-up (access), Trouble, Circuit Pack Replacement, ETAS, Patch, Routine Tasks
Support Operational Services:
Operate and maintain customer owned CS-2100 switch as well as all other equipment and test equipment
Maintain customer satisfaction, meet customer expectations, quality work, clean work area and play active role as a team member of the CS-2100 group
Deliver quality service that meets or exceeds customer expectation
Support installation and expansion activities that occur
Patching and/or PM loading/reloading as required.
Weekly checks and/or document reviews with Black Box SL-100 Technical Support and Avaya CS-2100 GNTS to review latest product bulletins (EWBs and CABs).
