Database Administrator - Member Services

A client of ours is seeking an experienced Member Services Database Administrator for a full-time opportunity located in Washington, DC. All candidates should be experienced in Database Implementation and providing Member Services support.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Be the primary knowledge expert and first tier support for the AMS system and vendor
  • Provide AMS training to staff
  • Setup events and online event registration portal for events. This may involve working with third party vendors and testing that registrations are working properly
  • Keep abreast of new event registration technology and how it can be used at events
  • Handles logistics for onsite Registration desk at conferences
  • Provide documentation on processes, workflows and training materials
  • Implement dashboard reporting for senior staff
  • Develop standardized ad-hoc reports for day to day operations
  • Provide reporting and data analysis for event registration, membership retention, etc. using AMS reporting tools and BI tools such as Tableau
  • Checks database structural integrity of user and system tables by conducting quarterly audits
  • Make recommendations to the Director of Membership on improving member data processes

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience working with an AMS (Association Management Software), i.e. Aptify, Association Anywhere, Impexium, etc.

  • Professional attitude and demeanor
  • Previous membership assistance experience preferred
  • Acute attention to detail and excellent follow-through capabilities
  • Able to multi-task and sort through multiple priorities, conflicting schedules and deadlines
  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools a plus
  • Advance skills in MS Office with a particularly strong skill set in MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills, as well as accuracy and attention to details
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work with colleagues and members in different time zones
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment, taking on multiple projects at a time
  • Able to travel for conferences
