Job Description: Geotechnical Department Manager
Has authority and responsibility for a service line within the branch. Is responsible for the long-and-short term profitability of the company and department, and maintains a good and safe working environment for the employees. They are also responsible for quality assurance within the department. The person needs to be reliable (responsibilities, tardiness, etc.) and have a good work ethic.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Directly supervises five to six employees in the Geotechnical Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
