Machine Shop Coordinator
Oversees personnel in charge of operating machines that perform a variety of processing operations. Responsible for supervising assembly operations such as filing, aligning, fitting, and scraping of parts to ensure established requirements and standards are met. Require a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager.
Maintain general shop safety and cleanliness.
Effectively train junior level machine operators.
Schedule time to best utilize company resources and streamline all machining efforts. This includes that all parts are available and ready to go for assembly floor operations at the time required.
Consistently meet or exceed production goals.
Organize and control all workflow from engineering through the machining process or outside machine locations.
Any other work related duties assigned by the Supervisor of Production Services.
All job requirements of Machinist/Tool & Die Group Leader.
Must have gained over 8000 hours or equivalent experience in machine shop.
Learn manufacturing techniques utilized by window and door manufacturers.
Must provide concise, accurate information concerning parts availability for assemble area and direct the final quality check on machined parts.
Understand AutoCAD mechanical drawings.
Good communication skills a must.
Basic computer skills required.
Ability to work independently and still function as a team player.
Must manage company property in a professional manner and consist with company policies.
