PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Working under the guidance of senior engineering staff to assemble, integrate and test production units of various electrical (analog, digital, and RF) and mechanical assemblies.
Building custom cables and assembling various subsystems into larger systems using engineering drawings and technical diagrams.
Integration testing of circuit card assemblies (CCA's) to insure subsystem requirements are met.
Troubleshooting to the component level (integrated circuit) to determine and repair any faults detected on the cards or associated cabling.
Possess an AS.
Be familiar with test equipment (RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, mulitmeters, power supplies, etc.).
Possess surface mount and through-hole soldering and cable building skills.
Provide test support for the setup, orientation, test, and tear down of equipment integrated with various mobile or fixed site solutions. This test support may occur at various military test and training ranges throughout the United States.
Travel support for integration, acceptance, or major test events may require travel for 1-3 weeks at a time.
MINIMUM SKILLS :
3-8 years of experience.
Familiarity with RF test equipment (such as Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Network Analyzers, etc),
Familiarity with surface mount soldering skills.
Basic circuit card assembly and troubleshooting skills.
Basic cable building and chassis assembly skills.
AS or higher.
DESIRED SKILLS :
IPC 610 or 620 certification is highly desired.
The ability to design simple electronic circuits is a plus.
Automated test software.
RF testing experience.
