Our Supply Chain Practice provides business consulting, assessment and selection, project management, system design, implementation and integration support services. We focus on Warehouse Management (WMS), Warehouse Control System (WCS), Transportation Management (TMS), Supply Chain Event Management/Visibility (SCEM), and automated identification solutions. Position requires assisting manufacturing and distribution clients with requirements definition, design, and implementation of supply chain execution software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Presales work including presentations.
Performs the necessary analysis and consultation to identify business issues, solution requirements, and related benefits.
Travel to client sites to gather detailed information about client information systems technology and business process
Understand the technical nature of the client business processes
Possess knowledge of the configuration and integration of information technology and/or equipment in a distribution environment
Analyze client operations and gather data necessary for determining material handling operations and information systems processes to provide the most economical solutions
Coordinate and/or prepare clear, concise and accurate deliverables including: functional specifications for supply chain execution software systems, requests for proposals, contracting and related documents
Review, evaluate and summarize vendor proposals for comparison purposes in order to make recommendations
Work directly with clients to gather an understanding of their business needs.
Analyses and helps define current and re-engineered business processes and operational procedures.
Assists in the development and delivery of user training programs.
Build and maintain customer relationships with clients.
Prepare and analyze project plans.
Works closely with team members to understand client needs.
Managing smaller projects, or segments of larger projects.
Supervises and reviews work of less experienced staff.
5+ years of consulting experience in supply chain consulting.
Extensive first-hand knowledge and experience with SCM business issues and technologies - experience with multiple solutions is ideal.
Strong project management background and the ability to deliver business process designs.

Ability to learn software applications as required

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Flexibility to travel to the client site to support consultation and solution delivery support assignments.
Knowledge of automated identification - barcoding, RFID, and EAS is a plus.
Working knowledge and industry experience with the Manhattan Associates, PkMS, RedPrairie, or the HighJump product suites.
Experienced with MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Knowledge of one or more flow charting software packages.
Bachelor’s, or advanced Degree in Finance, Computer Science, operations management, or industrial engineering strongly preferred.
