SDLC Project Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties: The Project Manager is assigned the management of specific project work. Performs day‐to‐day

management of the project, identifies issues and risks and recommends possible issue and risk mitigation

strategies associated with the project. Is responsible for ensuring that work performed is within scope, consistent

with requirements, and delivered on time and on budget. Identifies critical paths, tasks, dates, testing, and

acceptance criteria. Provides solutions to improve efficiency (e.g., reduce costs while maintaining or improving

performance levels). Monitors issues and provides resolutions for up‐to‐date status reports. Demonstrates

excellent writing and oral communications skills.

 

Minimum Qualifications/Skill Sets

The candidate MUST have documented experience in the following areas. Please DO NOT send candidates that do

not meet these minimum qualifications.

_ Minimum seven (7) years successful Project Management experience managing large, high profile and

sensitive projects

_ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

_ Previous experience managing software and/or hardware implementation and upgrade projects

_ Experience creating and managing project documentation as defined by the Project Management

Institute (PMI)

_ Experience in creating and managing project deliverables and documents (SDLC and PMI)

_ Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Project, Excel, WORD)

_ Experience with Executive level presentations

_ Exceptional organization and coordination skills

_ Ability to work five days per week from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

_ Exceptional oral and written communications skills

_ Must currently possess a Project, Program, Portfolio, or Agile management certificate from the Project

Management Institute.

 

Preferred Qualifications/Skill Sets

_ Experience managing projects with Microsoft Project Server

_ Previous experience working in a Government entity (Federal, State or Local)

_ Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive Baltimore County Police Department background check
