Job Description:

 

This position will answer directly to the Project Manager. All paperwork and required data will be submitted directly to the Director of Operations, at the end of each business day, but no later than the morning of the following business day. Required tasks include, but are not limited to the following:

 

Q     Review of client files including, but not limited to, floorplans, wiring diagrams, system proposals, rack diagrams, programming criteria, and change orders

Q     Prewire walk-through with clients.  Mark locations for television, telephone, and data jacks, as well as all audio, video, control, lighting, and miscellaneous system wiring.

Q     Generate change orders as required.

Q     Perform prewire installation in both new and existing construction.

Q     Development of “as-built” wiring diagrams for both rough-in wire installations and finished system installations.

Q     Installation of speakers and controls, TV, phone, and data jacks, head-end structured wiring components, DSS systems, and similar infrastructure products.

Q     Installation and programming of complete audio and video systems – both multi-room and home theater.

Q     Installation and configuration of residential data networks.

Q     Installation and programming of telephone systems (both standard and key systems).

Q     Installation and programming of television distribution systems and satellite systems.

Q     Installation and programming of complete lighting control systems.

Q     Installation and programming of custom control systems and remote controls.

Q     Preparation of user manuals and troubleshooting guides for completed systems.

Q     Service and maintenance on existing systems.

Q     System troubleshooting.

 

Physical Requirements:

Q     Ability to regularly lift equipment that weighs 60 or more pounds.

Q     Ability to climb ladders as high as 40 feet.

Q     Ability to bend or twist while pulling, pushing or tweeking equipment placement.

Q     Ability to reach out or overhead to move or install equipment.

Q     Ability to crawl into small spaces.

Q     Ability to work in extreme high or low temperatures.
