The Web Developer would join a team of developers servicing our government clients and current development activities across the company. This position will be primarily supporting various Federal and State Government clients and innovative project throughout the country. The projects entail the design and development of advanced spatial analytical capabilities and toolsets, data maintenance and processing toolsets, web functionality, among other project activities that offer daily diversity to a developer’s experiences. Be part of a software development team to develop solutions based on client requirements
• Participate in application requirements gathering and design meetings
• Support under the direction of a technical architect/project manager, the development of solution modules
• Oversee testing workflows on code and review recorded findings, working with development team to resolve defects
• Be able to support rapid application development with prototypes, etc.
• Attend project status meetings as required
BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, GIS, or related field required.
5+ years’ experience developing GIS web applications within enterprise architectures
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
Ability to manage tasks and timelines effectively
Ability to manage project and daily tasks effectively
Demonstrable ability to work as part of an integrated solution development team
Be able to successfully obtain a US Department of Defense Security Clearance via standard background check
Proficiency with C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET is required
Experience working with and designing relational database management systems is required (Oracle and/or SQL Server)
Experience with GIS website development is required
Experience using bug/issue tracking software such as Jira, TestTrack, Bugzilla preferred
Experience using a source code repository such as GIT, Surround, Subversion preferred
