Audio Visual Project Manager

Job Summary:

 

The Project Manager interfaces with the Sales, Service and Management teams to support, schedule, supervise, manage bids, budgets, and timelines for Installation projects.  The Project Manager serves as the client liaison and provides leadership and daily management for technical crews assigned to installation projects.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Executes engineering plans to specification and approved timeline.
Attend internal and external project meetings as needed or requested (site visits, meetings/consultation with clients, departmental meetings, etc.).
Offers ideas, solutions and alternatives relevant to the design, testing and integration process.
Manages equipment and material lists associated with on-going projects.
Responsible for project management, including, but not limited to:

Creates project schedules and manages deadlines,
Task assignments,
Maintaining On-Site professionalism of crew and compliance of rules,
Must recognize overages to bids and bring to Management’s and/or Sales Rep and/or client’s attention in a timely fashion,
Maintaining job related inventory. Anticipates and ensures all project materials are ordered and inventoried in a timely fashion.  All materials are accurately reconciled at the close of each project,
Responsible for monitoring onsite materials and tools,
Ensuring all workmanship meets standards,
Responsible for the completion of all required forms:  Timesheets, client sign-offs, Change Orders, Project Summaries and Final Checklists,
Reports to Director or designee on progress of all projects at the end of each day,
Performs or is responsible for system testing and proof of performance sign-off with client,
Provides operational training of systems with staff and client.
Responsible for immediate notification to Director or designee of all changes in projects, including, but not limited to timeline delays or problems with equipment, engineering, client, or staff.   Must be able to identify potential problems and take steps to ensure smooth production path and positive client experience.
Ability to mentor, train and motivate technical personnel as needed for professional development.
Support of Management, Sales, Service, and Accounting groups.

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

A minimum 5 years of project management and installation experience in the broadcast, post- production and A/V industries.
Associate Degree in Electronics is desired, but not required.
Ability to fully execute an approved design and all its requirements.
Ability to train and motivate technical personnel as needed and/or required for projects and professional development
Excellent client service skills.  The ability to demonstrate to the client a comprehensive understanding of the needs and requirements of each project. 
Ability to effectively communicate and work well with other staff members, as well as be a positive representative of the company to other employees and clients.
Individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.
