POSITION        Customer Service Representative

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary function of this position is to provide sales and customer support for all aspects of our customer-facing sales teams.  Customer Service Representatives are strategically aligned with front-line sales representatives and aid in the many support, coordination and administration efforts necessary to service our customers.  Additionally, CSRs typically service specific geographic regions and/or product categories in order to more effectively provide results. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide phone-based sales support and customer service to both our customers and our Territory Managers
Interacts daily with Territory Sales Managers and other field sales professionals to successfully provide business critical information and administrative support/coordination
Acts as a key point of contact for various customer-facing sales departments to enter, process & monitor sales orders
Collects competitive industry data sources to identify new and/or changing market conditions, pricing increases, and other impactful events
Monitors inventory levels in order to provide insightful information to the procurement team and sales staff
Coordinates logistical efforts for scheduling and delivering orders for inbound and outbound freight carriers
Gathers information that feeds into various sales-performance reports in order to quickly provide key data points to necessary departments
Champions excellent customer service for internal and external customers, suppliers and 3rd party contributors

Create regional marketing fliers to illustrate product promotions and details
Scheduling of supplier-sponsored training events

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Experience with and understanding of maintaining inventory management applications
Demonstrated knowledge of procurement practices, including communication with internal procurement resources and external supplier contacts
Ability to multitask in a fast paced, changing and dynamic work environment
Must possess strong organizational skills
Works well in a group/team setting  or with limited amounts of supervision

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

College degree preferred
2 to 3 year’s experience in customer service/inside sales
Proficiency in Microsoft based software applications
Experience in the building products industry preferred
