Overview: This position is responsible for developing and maintaining our high standards when it comes to the policies and procedures guaranteeing efficient and compliant processing of transactions and consulting services, which include auditing of import customs brokerage transactions, export regs, TSA requirements, FTZ processing, post-entry correspondence, binding rulings, written documentation, training materials, and ensuring that all communications, registrations, and notifications with various Federal agencies that regulate operations are met.
In addition, we are seeking someone with strong communication skills to appear in front of customers and non-customers, hold seminars, market our compliance services, and take a creative approach to consulting opportunities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Publishes and distributes content regarding existing and emerging compliance regulations to existing customers/prospects via multiple channels in conjunction with marketing department.
Externally markets compliance services in multiple formats and venues.
Works with multiple parties/groups to identify needed or desired procedural changes, develop and maintain company-wide standards, and produce documentation for all training, entry and post-entry processes.
Serves as resource to Branch Managers on post-entry issues.
Oversees processing of Powers of Attorney, recordkeeping, post-entry documentation preparation, drawback, reconciliation, and bond writing.
Monitors branch reports, ensuring immediate resolution of compliance issues.
Serves as the corporate resource on matters related to Powers of Attorney, Customs bonds, recordkeeping, post entry processing (protests, petitions, drawback), reconciliation, classification advisories, and ruling requests.
Monitors ABI and ISF error rates and identifies ways to improve performance.
Provides consulting services for both customers and prospects to include, but not be limited to C-TPAT, regulatory/admissibility research, classification services, compliance manual preparation, and training.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & ABILITIES
10 years of experience in the Customs brokerage industry.
Customs brokerage License + substantial knowledge of CBP import/export regulations and procedures.
Hands-on knowledge of ACE preferred, but not necessary.
Previous hands-on Customs brokerage operational experience.
2-5 year of management/supervisory experience preferred, including skills in time management, establishing accountability with staff, problem solving, motivating/coaching others and goal setting.
Strong marketing experience with all forms of communication.
College degree (International Business/Supply Chain) or equivalent preferred.
5-8 years’ experience with PC, including Microsoft Office, databases, software, web based applications, and vendor’s systems.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Must be able to make presentations to existing and potential customers.
Willingness to travel.
Must be able to work cohesively with others in a team environment, including daily interaction with senior staff and customers.
Must be able to perform independent research and be self-directed.
Ability to carry through to completion extensive projects in the face of disruptions.
Ability to consider creative options for processing transactions utilizing newly developed technologies.
Knowledge transportation as it relates to the export regulations.
