MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE Secret Clearance
*Position currently in Indian Head, MD, but will move to DISA HQ in Fort Meade, MD in the future (TBD).*
This senior analyst position requires knowledge and expertise in technical documents, such as US Military Standards, STA-NAGs, Industry Standards, Technical Specifications, and Standards Profiles to support specific DOD Coalition program daily operations.
Duties include (a) review, analysis, authoring, and updating technical documents required to support and improve DOD Coalition processes; (b) participating as a subject matter expert in NATO Federation Mission Networking (FMN) and Mission Partner Environment (MPE) meetings; and (c) assist with coordinating relevant committees and working groups; (d) advise affected Combatant Command (CCMD) staff on elements of proposed changes to standards policy; (e) review and advise impact of changes to Defense Standards, NATO Standardization Agreements, industry consensus standards, Chairman Joint Chief of Staff (CJCS) Instruction and manuals, and CCMD guidance issuances; (f) ensure coalition technical architecture and mission profiles and standards reflect operational needs; (g) report proposed changes for standards in the coalition architecture and review / provide comment on doctrine issuances from standards bodies, NATO, CCMDs, and Services and provide comment to reflect coalition operating practices on the MPE and incorporate lessons learned from CIAV events.
Qualified candidates must possess and maintain US and NATO clearances.
Must have familiarity with military standards and the process that governs the creation, modification, and approval. NATO experience is desired. The ability to write issue and white papers is also a plus.
Bachelor's degree in a directly related curriculum from an accredited and at least twelve years experience in a directly related field. One year of experience can be substituted by 15 semester hours completed towards a Master's degree in a directly related curriculum. Two years of experience can be substituted by completion of a Master's degree in a directly related field.
