Great Client of ours looking for a Grants Program Analyst in the Rockville, MD area.
Job Summary: Immediate need for on-site Program Analysts to support Federal staff at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities (CRCHD). The Program Analyst will provide assistance with grants and supplements management, program portfolio analysis, program budgeting/cost analysis, and related services, including data entry, meetings support and minutes, and other technical/administrative activities as requested.
Assist in preparing memos, letters and forms in collaboration with CRCHD staff.
Attend Branch and Center meetings, take notes and prepare meeting minutes, as requested.
Prepare acknowledgment of Application Notices, Funding Recommendation Notices and Evaluation Forms for distribution to external stakeholders.
Assist CRCHD Branch Chief, Program Directors and other CRCHD staff with special projects and assignments including work group, committee and weekly branch meeting as needs arise, and other analytical, technical, and administrative activities in support of operational efforts of the Center.
Assist CRCHD Branch Chief with budget formulation, budget tracking, and budget/actual performance analysis.
Assist CRCHD Branch Chief with programs portfolio analysis and assist with program evaluation and recommendations
Create and maintain accurate records in spreadsheets and database applications.
Enter and retrieve application, supplement and grant data from NIH and CRCHD maintained databases.
Assist with preparation of budgets, grant and supplement related documents (i.e., data extraction from spreadsheets and databases), checking/retrieving NIH eGrant for Notice of Awards information, and checking NIH RPPR for annual progress reports.
Generate reports with Oracle Discover or other systems as appropriate.
Skills and Experience Requirements:
Master’s degree in science or related field preferred, with 3-5 years experience in above requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), and database maintenance.
Strong analytical, budgeting, data management, and writing skills and experience.
Ability to perform multiple tasks and requirements concurrently.
Excellent attention to detail and information/data organization skills.
Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills to work with diverse groups and sensitive information.
