Sales Support Specialist
The Sales Support Specialist will report directly to the CEO and COO and is expected to develop local/regional relationships with internal and external customers. Will hep support 6 sales reps through out the country. Will analyze and understand company and customer requirements in order to provide professional executive advice and ongoing support to meet their business requirements. Provides specialized skills in multi tasking, in human resources, oral and written communications skills, microsoft office, knowledge in manufacturing, supply chain, sales presentations, commodity analysis and maintains ongoing commercial relationships with suppliers. Will also play a role in supplier management, working closely with local/regional suppliers to develop business relationships that help facilitate a more streamlined approach to sourcing while ensuring through negotiation that price competitiveness and high levels of service are maintained.
Welcomes guests and customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, answering or directing inquiries.
Review and obtain internal supplier reports: product usage and annual YTD (spend) run rate to maintain supplier accounts to budget, control costs and ensure services meet company requirements before passing on data to CEO and COO.
Prepare reports, as requested for management. Make recommendations for changes based on current industry trends.
Assist, as required, in the development of sales administration, quality sales presentations, sales force data base administration and attendance in weekly sales meetings.
Maintains customer confidence and protect company operations by keeping information confidential.
Secures information by completing data base backups.
Provides weekly reports for CEO and COO on sales budget attainment to the individual sales representative level.
Creates and presents high level end of month reporting for CEO and COO .
Bachelor’s degree, or significant related work experience.
3 to 5 years of sales support/executive assistant management.
Strong presentation skills along with superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal customers.
Strategic agility and able to learn on the fly.
Proven ability to multi task and meet deadlines.
Advanced proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, Sales Force and ability to learn proprietary systems.
