Payroll and HR Admin

We are looking for a strong Payroll Specialist that has experience handling all aspects of payroll for 150+ employees. Assists Director of Human Resources in providing excellent customer service to senior management, managers/supervisors and employees.   

Serves as administrative support person for designated departments within the company.  Typical duties include general clerical, receptionist and project-based work.  Responsibilities may be unique to a specific function or department but are mainly administrative in nature. 

Accountable for collecting timekeeping information, incorporating commissions and deductions into payroll and issuing pay and pay-related information to employees.  Ensures accurate processing and recording of company’s payroll and processes weekly and bi-weekly transfer of payroll data to payroll processing vendor.  Provides timely and accurate payroll reporting.

Payroll:

Execute e-timekeeping system and attendance processing and interface with payroll for weekly and bi-weekly payrolls
Ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
Process manual checks when necessary
Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests
Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures, reporting changes as needed
Compiles internal management reports from payroll system software

HR:

·         Performs record keeping and clerical functions for the purpose of supporting the human resources department

Enters into the HRMS employee data, employee address changes, status changes, deductions and benefit changes
Files employee paperwork in appropriate files.  Scans documents when necessary
Assists in organizing special events for the Human Resources office (i.e, benefit open enrollment meetings)

Composes and/or prepares forms and reports using appropriate word processing and spreadsheet tools
Perform some bookkeeping tasks
Posts daily mail and maintains postage machine
Performs receptionist duties

Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in any discipline, or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience
Two years experience processing payroll in office environment
Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel
Working knowledge of HRMS, e-time and payroll systems
Working knowledge of QuickBooks
