Our client is looking for a versatile Systems Administrator. As the System Administrator, you will be responsible for the maintenance and function of our client’s network and computer systems. This individual should possess a wide variety of technical skills and be extremely customer service oriented.
•Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
•Develop, document, and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
•Responsible for daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and setting up and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. (System Integrity)
•Available for potential after hours work to apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and to upgrade /configure/ add new services as necessary, and to help design a system to minimize off-hours and downtime for such operations.
•Research, recommend, and implement technical solutions that will improve systems.
•Ability to work collaboratively
•Ensure the security of all systems and networks according to business requirements.
•Ability to fully investigate, document and provide root cause analysis and remediation plans for incidents and failures.
•4 year college degree
•2-3 years of experience with demonstrated responsibility
•Professional Certifications helpful
•Microsoft OS: 2003,2008,2012
•Microsoft Exchange, SQL, and AD
•Dell/HP hardware (Server/desktops/laptops)
•SAN/NAS installation and management
•Network and Systems security (Firewalls, VPN, Spam, Antivirus)
•Scripting tools experience
