ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Systems Administrator (Exchange Primary) is primarily responsible as lead administrator for support and maintenance Messaging-related support activities which include Administration of Messaging Systems Infrastructure (Microsoft Exchange 2010/Office 365 in a hybrid environment and other software applications and appliances that are used to support our messaging infrastructure, escalation resolution, system monitoring.
The candidate must be able to balance the responsibilities of working as member of the Systems Operations Team (SysOps) with the timely completion of project deliverables. This candidate will provide hands-on team system administration support as part of the Sysops team performing moderately complex system maintenance and operations support of MS Windows servers and associated application and systems; perform daily maintenance to ensure stability with minimal degradation of service.
Major responsibilities will include:
Exchange 2010/Office 365 administration and support in a hybrid configuration architecture.
2013 and Office 365 administration and support.
Microsoft Server 2010/2012 troubleshooting and support in a VMware environment.
Microsoft Lync, Outlook 2010/2013 troubleshooting and support.
Proofpoint Encryption and Archiving product administration and support.
Outlook Web Access (OWA) configuration and user support
Group Policy implementation specifically for Exchange and Outlook considerations
Maintenance of email groups and distribution lists
Disaster Recovery and Backup for Exchange and AD environment
Thorough understanding of migration considerations including account migration and data migration
Perform daily systems monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs
Provide tier 2 and above helpdesk support
Monthly Server Patching
Monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance of mail routing
Work with solution vendors for administration and troubleshooting of enterprise email services.
Assist with solution documentation including operational procedures and systems health checks.
Work with Sys. Ops Manager to define and evaluate outcomes against key performance indicators
Provide general troubleshooting on Windows systems, maintain data files, and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity and an optimum level of performance.
Ensure all server documentation is current. Oversee appropriate level software installations, upgrades, and related software packages.
Assist in the overall modernization of the enterprise. Participate in analyzing new hardware/software needs, and meetings as required.
Provide problem ticket resolution, utilizing track-it ticketing system.
Performs routine server maintenance and builds in a VMWARE environment.
Collect and review system data for capacity and planning purposes. Analyze capacity data and develop capacity plans for appropriate level enterprise-wide systems.
Participates in a 24/7 on-call support rotation.
Performs routine and non-routine work on technical assignments.

The desired Messaging Administrator skill set will include but not be limited to the following:
High school diploma/GED with five (5) years related experience or Bachelor’s Degree with three (3) years related experience in Information Systems.
Minimum three (3) years’ experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010 and Cloud Exchange (Office 365) in a hybrid environment.
Excellent oral and verbal communication skills are needed with the ability to work effectively in a small team environment
Must have strong time management, project management, organizational, and team collaboration skills
Healthcare / HIPAA Security experience
MCITP: Deploying, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Exchange Server 2010
MITCP: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012
MITCP: Administering Windows Server 2012
