Director of Supply Chain in Columbia, MD
Manage and drive improvements within the US Supply Chain team including Planning, Purchasing and Warehouse.
Developing, documenting and implementing key objectives for Supply Chain personnel for the US in conjunction with similar global positions.
Develop, document and implement key processes within the US Supply Chain team to support customer expectations / grow sales.
Establish internal business relationships at all levels within the organization and external / customer relationships to support company growth.
Drive operational excellence / continuous improvement within the Warehouse and Planning / Purchasing.
Negotiate needed vendor contracts related to transportation, importing, equipment, people.
Manage continuous improvement by establishing key performance indicators relating to inventory, quality, shipments, labor, and productivity.
Ensure that US Supply Chain is focused on meeting or exceeding customer expectations each day.
Improve and maintain high moral within the employee base through open communication channels and daily practices.
Develop strong working relationship / partnership with other global parts of the Supply Chain.
Promote safe working practices within OSHA compliance and a clean workplace.
Financially accountable for the US Supply Chain activity and expenses.
