The PE Electrical Engineer is an experienced, self-motivated, creative and innovative individual. This person possesses robust interpersonal skills and professional demeanor appropriate for interacting with clients. Ability to be a team player in a small but mighty multi-office A/E firm with team members across all four time zones is essential.
Academic / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
6-10 years’ experience in electrical power systems design, lighting systems design, load calculations, fault current calculations and mechanical systems coordination.
Ability to obtain licensure in other states
Thorough knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD software (2103 or newer).
Command of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
Excellent ability to produce schedules (panels, conduit and nameplates, etc.), control wiring diagrams, and schematic diagrams.
Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to express thoughts with hand drawings.
Exceptional level of accuracy and detail.
Tasks / Duties:
Creation and drafting of electrical layouts.
Population of panel board schedules.
Creation of lighting design that contributes to a safe, functional and pleasant environment for clients and end users.
Submittal, shop drawing, and RFI review.
Conduct construction field observation.
Other design and engineering activities as assigned.
