Title: Senior Real Estate Loan Underwriter - FHA
Reports To: AVP or Director
Working independently to efficiently guides members through the FHA real estate loan process and determines member's creditworthiness based on credit union guidelines. Gather background information and analyze loan applicants' credit history. Approves or denies FHA Real Estate loans within limits of authority and explains reason for denial.
MUST HAVE A DE Certification.
Reviews files for all necessary forms and information according to FNMA underwriting guidelines. Ensure that each loan application is processed accurately: including loan application, property (title and appraisal) assessment, sales agreements and disclosures. Keeps informed of all the credit union's underwriting practices as well as Federal and State regulations. Assist credit union staff with Real Estate loan inquiries.
Bachelors Finance Preferred
