Business Analyst - E-Commerce
Review sales trends, inventory levels, and assist with projections in helping to create the best product mix and establish proper inventory levels.
Review product uploads and customer websites to ensure data accuracy and that products are properly categorized and represented online.
Conduct market research and analysis of sales data to suggest ways to act on sales opportunities.
Aggregate and analyze customer product review data.
Serve as liaison between Supply Chain procurement team, marketing and eCommerce.
Assist in analyzing the performance of our website.
Produce ad-hoc reporting and data insights on request.
Apply online data mining techniques and knowledge of traffic, conversions, online sales, and online marketing channel performance.
Create and manage dashboards and in-depth reporting for E-Commerce stakeholders.
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum three to five years’ experience in the same or a related type of job.
Post-secondary education in Marketing, Statistics, Product Merchandising or Business is a plus.
Aptitude and passion for numbers and analysis
Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions with the foresight to implement improvements where needed
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven ability to manage and manipulate large quantities of data
Ability to understand initiatives, meet deadlines, deliver results and work under pressure
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload as needed
Ability to work with different stakeholders and customize data analysis to a particular stakeholder’s needs
Experience working with web-specific data and online marketing and reporting tools
Strong MS Excel skills including the ability to use pivot tables, graphing and vLookup functions.
eCommerce Product Merchandising, Marketing and Inventory Management experience
Experience with product accounting systems is a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is a plus
Familiar with database query tools
Experience with Amazon Vendor Central reporting is a plus
Experience with Google Analytics, AdWords preferred
